Blessed Carlo Acutis Comes to Visit Us!

From September 22 to 28, 2024, the Acutis Foundation is organizing a series of special activities with Carlos Leret, a missionary sent by the organization responsible for the canonization of Carlo Acutis. During this week, Carlos’ introductions will be in English and will focus on topics such as the life of Carlo Acutis, the Eucharist, Eucharistic adoration, Eucharistic miracles, and confession. After each introduction, there will be time for questions and discussion.

On Sunday, September 22, the day begins at 4:00 PM with Eucharistic adoration and the opportunity for confession at the Lodewijk Church in Leiden, followed by an English Holy Mass at 5:00 PM. After the Mass, there will be a shared meal where everyone brings something to share. At 7:00 PM, Carlos will give an inspiring introduction, followed by time for questions and discussion. The evening will conclude with a social gathering.

On Monday, September 23, Carlos will go to Rotterdam, where he will give a lecture at 7:00 PM with the Dominicans. The exact location and the afternoon program are still being prepared. After a break, there will be a question and discussion session at 8:00 PM, followed by a social gathering at 9:00 PM.

Tuesday, September 24, will be in Oss. The day begins with a Holy Mass at the Grote Kerk at 7:00 PM, followed by an introduction by Carlos at 8:00 PM. After a break, there will be another opportunity for questions and discussion at 9:00 PM, and the evening will conclude with a social gathering.

Wednesday, September 25, begins in Utrecht with vespers at the Gerardus Majella Church at 5:00 PM, followed by Eucharistic adoration and confession at 5:30 PM. The Holy Mass will be at 7:00 PM, after which Carlos will give a lecture at 8:00 PM in the Leerhuis. As usual, there will be a break, questions and discussion, and a concluding social gathering.

On Thursday, September 26, Carlos will travel to Zonhoven in Flanders. The day begins at 6:00 PM with a Holy Mass, followed by Eucharistic adoration and confession at 7:00 PM. At 8:00 PM, Carlos will give an introduction, followed by a break and a question and discussion session. The evening will end with a social gathering at 10:00 PM.

Friday, September 27, will be in Nijmegen. The evening will begin at 8:00 PM with an introduction by missionary Carlos Leret, where he will share his insights on the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis. A short break will follow at 8:50 PM, and at 9:00 PM, there will be time for questions and discussion.

On Saturday, September 28, Carlos may conclude his visit with participation in the Stands Festival in Flanders.
